Located in the former wine cellars of Swan House, a 13th century hotel, the restaurant has a warm ambience which is difficult to find elsewhere.
Overcoming many obstacles and meeting a tight deadline, the restaurant was opened in the winter of 2005 in time for the festive season. It was an immediate success. The restaurant has maintained a steady position in the market, with high levels of service and standard of cuisine. The menu hosts all the favourites you would expect to find in an Indian Restaurant, as well as many exclusive dishes.
The low key entrance with it’s white arched walls and low ceilings, leads down to a minimally designed restaurant space. Before being a wine cellar, the restaurant rooms were part of a tunnel network running below the streets of Petworth. Within these tunnels there were shops and pathways that once lead to the great Petworth house.
There are two main dining areas in the restaurant. Both can be hired for functions accommodating up to 14 persons in the small room, and 24 persons in the main room in complete privacy. The restaurant is the ideal place for small family gatherings and parties. Whatever your event, we would like to host it for you with our excellent customer service.
